DAN Instructor Courses
A & H Aquatic Adventures is offering a range of Divers Alert Network (DAN) courses. We can also offer a PADI Specialty rating for most of these courses. DAN membership is required for all of these courses. A & H Aquatic Adventures is also an Instructor Training Facility for all of these courses.
DAN Instructor
To become a DAN Instructor, you must participate in a DAN Instructor Qualification Course (IQC).
The IQC follows a modular format. There is a Core Module and then a separate module representing each training program. You can take all nine (9) modules as part of one course, or just take the Core Module and one course module - whatever you are interested in teaching. Later, as long as you remain a current and active DAN Instructor, you can take additional modules without retaking the Core Module.

DAN Instructor Qualification Course Prerequisites:
- DAN Member
- Current Provider training within 24 months in all courses seeking instructor certification
- Active scuba diving educator
- Current CPR training

Documentation of First Aid training
The following are Prerequisites to take the instructor module for each DAN Training Program:
1. Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries
2. Oxygen First Aid for Aquatic Emergencies
3. Advanced Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries
- DAN Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries Instructor
4. First Aid for Hazardous Marine Life Injuries
5. Automated External Defibrillators for Scuba Diving
6. Automated External Defibrillators for Aquatic Emergencies
7. Basic Life Support for Dive Professionals
8. On-Site Neurological Assessment for Divers
- DAN Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries Instructor
9. Diving Emergency Management Provider
- To offer this program, DAN Instructor Trainers and Instructors must be in Active Teaching Status for:
- Oxygen First Aid for Scuba Diving Injuries
- First Aid for Hazardous Marine Life Injuries
- Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) for Scuba Diving
- Preferred additional Credentials
