Your adventure into the professional levels of recreational diving begins with the PADI Divemaster program. Working closely with an A & H Aquatic Adventures Instructor, Divemaster candidates expand their dive knowledge and hone their skills to the professional level.
 
PADI Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities, qualifying you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers.
 
During the PADI Divemaster program, you learn dive leadership skills through both classroom and independent study. You complete water skills and stamina exercises, as well as training exercises that stretch your ability to organize and solve problems.
 
You put this knowledge into action through an internship or series of practical training exercises.

What can PADI Divemasters do?

  • Work at local dive centers, on live-aboard dive boats, yachts and at exotic resort locations
  • Assist PADI Instructors with students
  • Lead PADI Scuba Divers on guided dive tours
  • Teach and certify PADI Skin Divers
  • Teach PADI Discover Snorkeling programs
  • Conduct PADI Scuba Review programs for certified divers
  • Lead certified divers on Discover Local Diving experiences
  • Teach Emergency First Response programs after successful completion of an Emergency First Response Instructor course.
  • Independently conduct Discover Scuba Diving in a pool or in confined open water to a maximum depth of 20 feet. This requires successful completion of an internship that consist of conducting 4 separate Discover Scuba Diving pool or confined open water experiences under the direct supervision and guidance of an A & H Aquatic Adventures Instructor.

 
What will I do?
  • Learn dive leadership through classroom and independent study sessions
  • Complete water skills and stamina exercises in confined and open water
  • Training exercises to test organizational and problem solving abilities
  • An internship or series of practical training exercises

 
 
Prerequisites: PADI Rescue Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization)

40 Logged Dives

18 Years of Age
 Current Emergency First Response or CPR Certification (or qualifying certification from another training CPR Organization).
Program:
Knowledge Development:
  • Topics ranging from dive theory to assisting student divers in training
  • Successful completion of 8 Divemaster exams
  • Successful completion of water skills and stamina exercises
  • Practical application to involve either an internship (option #1) or practical training exercises (option #2)
  • 60 Logged dives for certification as a PADI Divemaster
Course Material:
Divemaster Candidate Crew-Pak, which includes Divemaster Video, Encyclopedia of Recreational Diving, Diving Knowledge Workbook, Divemaster Slates, Instructor Manual, and eRDPml
Course Fee:
$600.00 – Includes: Classroom, Pool and Open Water Sessions
 
$270.00 -- Divemaster Candidate Crew-Pak, not included in the Course Fee
